Select the On option from the Arc Length drop-down if you are concerned about softening, buckling failure or material failure during the analysis. Note that activating this option takes more computing power for analysis.

Click on the Advanced Settings button to set advanced nonlinear static parameters. The Nonlinear Static Parameters dialog box will be displayed; refer to Figure-32 .

Set desired parameters (The options of this dialog box have been discussed in next topic.) and click on the OK button. The Nonlinear Setup dialog box will be displayed again. Click on the OK button to apply the parameters and exit the dialog box.
